  2. It's a unique building - all around it there are modern glass and steel high rises....

  3. Youve reminded me that I must come and visit Bristol and it's environs really soon. Now we are sans doggy, we have a new found freedom, and I've missed the sea (well, ok, estuary and tidal inlet with mud) I shall take a walk around Bristol city centre and see how it's changed since my last visit nearly 20 years ago! Oh, and thank you for the Banksy images, I'm really enjoying them. Annabel x

  4. Bristol has changed a lot in the last 40 years! My husband went to university there in the '60s, and when I first came from Argentina in 1967 we visited several times, as he still had friends there. After that I only visited very occasionally, mostly because of teaching. Now that we live an hour away from it, we have started to go and explore it. The Harbourside is very attractive, and there is a modern complex which include Explore@Bristol (science museum), Planetarium and Aquarium - to all of which I'll be taking my 6 year old grandson at various times - the 12 year old prefers to go to Bristol City football matches with my husband... Yesterday I was at the Museum while waiting for the match to finish...
