Extraordinary August moon
It was a really strange moon - not quite a full one - but with a strange pink halo around it. I had to photograph it, from outside my front door - the second picture includes part of the porch. The different light in each of the photographs produces a pink moon and a blue moon... they have an eerie feeling.

When I stepped outside late last night to look, my moon was high in the sky and was perfectly bright white. However, the slight halo around it seemed to pulse - couldn't decide if it was something with my eyes or an actual thing. I'd not witnessed anything quite like it before that I can remember. Eerie indeed.
